A. 1/4" plywood and 1x2 how ever i wouldn't recommend that amount of weight unless 3/8 plywood was used instead of 1/4 inch ply, building the flat bottom. I am going to build a 12 or 14 foot long 4 foot wide flat bottom john boat. construction will be 1/4 inch plywood bottom. add one inch thick by 16 inches.
